In order to initially participate in a Cape Fear Emmaus Walk, a candidate MUST be sponsored by an active Emmaus person. The sponsor will generally explain the Walk, provide all essential information, and be responsible for leading the candidate through the registration process. BOTH Candidate and Sponsor forms must be submitted at the same time, along with the Walk deposit ($50), to the Cape Fear registrar. This is to be done by the sponsor. The sponsor will then continue to serve as liaison between the candidate and community registrar. The total cost to attend a Cape Fear Walk to Emmaus is $150. This includes all food, lodging, and supplies.
In order keep up with the costs of providing the Walk Weekends, the Board has had to raise the walk fees for both Applicants (Pilgrims) and Team Members (Conference Room and Support Team) to $150 per Walk. The Application Deposit fee has been raised to $50, with the remainder due at the start of the walk. We encourage Community donations to provide Scholarship Funds (partial or full) for those who would be adversly affected by this increase in walk fees.
